Accreditation
The Nuclear Medicine Institute (NMI) at The University of Findlay (UF), is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) to offer a certificate program in nuclear medicine technology. This certificate program constitutes the senior year of the nuclear medicine major at UF and is accepted toward completion of the degree program. Successful completion of the certificate program enables the student to apply to one or more of the national certification boards in nuclear medicine technology.
The JRCNMT is the nationally recognized accrediting agency for educational programs for nuclear medicine technologists. Educational programs that meet or exceed the minimum standards stated in the Accreditation Standards for Nuclear Medicne Technologist Education are granted an accreditation status by the JRCNMT, providing public recognition of such achievement. Program accreditation is recognized as providing a basic assurance of the scope and quality of professional preparation.
The JRCNMT is recognized as the accrediting agency for educational programs for nuclear medicine technologists by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
