SCON 360 - Physiology of Exercise Prescription with Adults and Special Populations
Prerequisites: HPE 308 and BIOL 201 or BIOL 322. This course will focus primarily on the application of the scientific methods involved in prescribing exercise programs for the adult population as well as for various special populations such as individuals with coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, etc. The areas of physical fitness, nutrition, body composition, fitness assessment, and health appraisal will provide the health professional with the knowledge to design scientifically based programs.
