How and When to Apply

How?

The Office of Admissions will accept any of these three different types of application.

  • The UF paper application
  • The Common Application
  • Online application via The University of Findlay website

Once you apply, The Office of Admissions must also receive the following:

  • High school transcript showing grade point average and class rank (if applicable) with grades through the junior year
  • Results of the SAT, ACT or New SAT.
  • One letter of recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor using this provided form.

When?

You may begin at UF in either the Fall or Spring semester. The application process can begin upon sucessful completion of your Junior year in high school. The application for admission is typically available mid-summer.
The University of Findlay operates on a "rolling admission" basis. Once we receive your completed application along with supporting materials we will render a decision and notify you shortly thereafter.
The entering class fills rapidly and we encourage you to submit your application early. Please note the following application deadlines for 2010:

                            Fall semester - August 20, 2010.
                            Spring Semester - December 18, 2009.

Please also note that the University of Findlay requires a deposit to release housing forms and provide access to health documentation as well as securing a place in the entering class. This deposit is fully refundable if the Undergraduate Admissions office receives communication from you of your intention to not attend UF by May 1.

All prospective students are strongly encouraged to visit the campus. During the visit you will have an opportunity to interview with your admissions counselor, view a multi-media presentation about UF, particpate in a campus tour, and have a lunch in the dining hall at our expense! The Office of Admissions is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays. To set up an appointment, call the Office of Admissions at 419-434-4161 or 1-800-548-0932.
