Psychology is about people. It is exciting to be a part of a field that is committed to helping people live healthier and happier lives. It is also a field that enables me to live out my personal values passionately and to make a difference in the lives of others.

	Ph.D., Michigan State University M.A., Michigan State University B.A., Eastern Michigan University

Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I currently have a private practice and have been practicing for over 35 years.

I also currently chair the Psychology Department and have been at the University since 1996. My interests include counseling psychology, health psychology, and positive psychology.

I am married to my wife Denese and have two children, three step-children, and three grandchildren. I am an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and I enjoy sports, reading, camping, gardening, and traveling.
