Welcome Weekend Starts Academic Year

The University of Findlay welcomed new and returning students to campus prior to the start of classes Aug. 24.

Residential Move-in Day for new students was Aug. 21, and many upperclass students, faculty and staff volunteered to help, carrying boxes and totes into dorm rooms.

New Student Orientation began Friday evening and continued through Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, more than 500 new students worked alongside faculty and staff volunteers, as well as upperclass students, to complete more than 50 service projects within the community.

On Sunday, a welcome ceremony and the traditional Arch Ceremony were held, followed by an all-campus picnic.
