Senior Energy Executive to Present Public Lecture

Tim NeslerTim Nesler, a 1977 UF alumnus and chair and CEO of Energy Maintenance Services (EMS) Group I, LLC, and its subsidiaries, will present a public lecture, “Entrepreneurship and Self Employment Versus Working for a Corporation,” at noon Wednesday, March 25, at The University of Findlay in Winebrenner Theological Seminary.
   
Nesler will be on campus as a Visiting Executive with the UF College of Business. While on campus, he also will speak to students in business classes and help to dedicate a new painting of the SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) eagle symbol, which is housed in Old Main.
    
Nesler and his wife, Melinda K. Nesler, recently established the Timothy H. ’77 and Melinda K. Nesler Scholarship Endowment Fund, which will be awarded to a Dana Scholar with a G.P.A. of 3.7 or higher. Nesler will talk to potential scholarship recipients during a breakfast; former Dana Scholars and Dana Chairs have been invited to attend.
   
At the University’s Feb. 6, 2009, Board of Trustees meeting, Nesler was elected to the board. He will be sworn in during the May 1, 2009, Board of Trustees meeting.
   
Prior to accepting his current position with EMS, Nesler worked for Marathon Oil Co. for 24 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree from UF and a master’s degree from Houston Baptist University.
   
Nesler resides with his wife in Houston, Texas.
