In conjunction with the 125th Endowed Funds Drive of The University of Findlay, Richard and Eva Longsderff established the Elsie Mae Daubert ’46 Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund in memory of Eva’s sister, a retired educator.
Ms. Daubert taught science and English for 39 years, six years in Haviland and Vanlue, Ohio, and for 33 years at Cedar Crest High School in Cornwall, Pa. She also was very active in the Churches of God, General Conference, for many years.
Ms. Daubert was honored as a UF Distinguished Alumna in 1992.
This scholarship shall be awarded to students majoring in biology, with first preference going to Church of God members. Recipients shall have at least a 3.0 G.P.A.
The goal of the endowed fund drive is to create 125 new endowed funds for student scholarship, faculty development and program support. Thus far, 63 new funds totaling more than $3 million have been created.
A steering committee consisting of University alumni and friends has been organized to provide leadership during the drive. Members of the steering committee are:
