Continuing Professional Development Program
Each month interested alums will be able to read and discuss a book of relevance to our personal and professional lives. An online discussion will be scheduled near the end of each month to share insights and appreciation for the work.
The first book to be discussed during the month of May will be “In Search of the Lost Grail of Middle Management,” written by our own Dr. Quentin Skrabec, assistant professor of business in the UF College of Business. The book is published by University Press of America and is available at the UF Bookstore, through the publisher at 1-800-462-6420 or via e-mail at www.univpress.com, or through Amazon.com.
Dr. Skrabec will hold an online “chat” to receive your comments about the book and to answer your questions from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, May 28. If you prefer, you may join Dr. Skrabec for lunch and a face-to-face discussion of the book on that day in the President’s Dining Room in the Alumni Memorial Union. Lunch will cost $15, payable to the UF Alumni Association. We must have your payment by May 21 to plan for the appropriate number of guests.
