Future Students

The subject matter of a course enrolled under the College Credit Plus program may include mature subject matter or materials, including those of a graphic, explicit, violent, or sexual nature that will not be modified based upon College Credit Plus enrollee participation regardless of where course instruction occurs.

Students must complete the following forms prior to being admitted to the University of Findlay.

Admission Requirements

Students in grades 10-12 must have at least a 2.5 GPA and either a 250 on the Reading Next-Generation Accuplacer test or a 20 composite score on the ACT. Students with a 3.0 GPA or higher are not required to submit a test score unless needed for math or science placement.

Students in grades 7-9 must have at least a 3.0 GPA and either a 250 on the Next-Generation Reading Comprehension Accuplacer test or a 20 composite on the ACT.

Application Procedures and Deadlines

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. For best course registration results, it is recommended that students complete their application for summer by April 1,
fall by June 1, and spring by December 1.

Students must have a completed Intent to Participate form on file at their home school district.

Students will need to complete the online application for College Credit Plus and have their school submit their transcript (high school students) or most recent report card (middle school students), along with any required test scores, their signed permission slip, and course selection sheet to complete their application.

Additional test scores may be needed to register for specific courses in math or science.

Testing

Accuplacer

The Accuplacer is an adaptive, multiple-choice test that is designed to be a clear measure of academic skills in reading. Students who have below a 3.0 GPA or have not completed a full year of high school will need to take the Accuplacer if they have not taken the ACT. UF only requires the Next Generation Reading Comprehension Accuplacer for admission.

For more information about the Accuplacer, see the College Board's website.

Placement Testing

Students interested in taking a math or science course may be required to take a placement test if they have not taken the ACT or met the ACT requirements for the course.

To schedule an Accuplacer or placement test, please contact Rebecca Hillman at 419-434-4738 or [email protected].

Orientation

Students planning on taking classes on UF's campus or online must complete a new student orientation prior to registering for classes. More information about orientation opportunities will be provided via email to the student.

Course Options

Students must meet any prerequisites required for a course prior to registering. Students can take classes on UF's campus, online, or through their high school if offered. For a list of high schools that currently offer UF CCP classes in their school, click here.
