Meet AJ Kittle!
Junior Finance & Accounting Major
Hometown: Bryan, OH
Hobbies: In my free time I produce some YouTube videos, creative writing, and attend a variety of social events.
Dream Job: Currently, I dream of being a chief officer of a company someday. This will likely be the Chief Financial Officer, given my majors of accounting and finance.
Spring 2019
During the Spring 2019 semester, AJ took a course called Accounting Information Systems (AIS), which taught him how to use Quickbooks. He said he values the skills he learned in this course because they will be very applicable and helpful in the field of finance.
AJ received the College of Business ACBSP Undergraduate Leadership Award at this year's College of Business Awards Ceremony. "I felt honored to receive the award," he said. "I have spent a lot of time and hard work in finance and accounting classes and I owe a lot of thanks to my colleagues in the College of Business. We have pushed each other to be better students and achieve higher grades. The dedication definitely paid off."
AJ looks forward to fall when he will start his position as Resident Director for Fox and Myers Halls. "There are only eight
Resident Directors that serve on campus every year so that is an honor by
itself," he said.
Fall 2018
AJ has taken on the role of Student Government Association (SGA) president this fall. Since being elected, AJ has been focusing on improving the lives of students at the University. He can be seen at many events around campus representing students and their best interests. In November, he helped with the Helping Hands Food Drive that was held on-campus.
"For me that's the fulfilling part of what I do here at UF, being an important resource for people and being present."
In addition to double-majoring in Accounting and Finance and leading SGA, AJ has also taken on the role of resident advisor in Fox Hall again. He enjoys being able to make a positive impact in the lives of other students.
This year he looks forward to the opportunities the College of Business makes available to him and other students. He said these opportunities include the job fairs each semester and emails from the college informing him on open jobs and internships.

Outside of the classroom, AJ is involved with the University's Student Government Association and you might see him performing in a theatre production or the Marching Oiler Brass. AJ also serves as a Resident Assistant in Fox Hall and oversees 44 residents. He's spent a lot of time getting to know his residents and coordinates programs for his residents including a talent show.
