Spring 2019
Natalie began her semester in January by attending a Rebel Pilgrim workshop in Cincinnati, Ohio with The Oiler 10. She learned about digital storytelling, toured a coworking facility in downtown Cincinnati and enjoyed some free time in the city with the group.
In February, she attended the National Grocers Association in San Diego, California with two other marketing students and Professor Eric Stoller. At the event, they presented a case on recruiting and maintaining diverse millennials for a small grocer in Memphis, Tennessee. Over the course of three days, they competed against 12 teams, listened to keynote speakers, and explored the city.
Natalie took another trip with The Oiler 10 to New York City to work with Horizon Media in the Financial District of Manhattan. They specifically worked with College of Business online professor, Anthony Cangelosi, who works for Horizon Media.
"We went through agency
processes and how to improve upon our agency at The University of Findlay." she said. "We
also got to tour and see a presentation by an entertainment agency in Manhattan
called MKG. We met with the President of the company, and got to experience
another side the agency world and learn from them."
In May, Natalie travelled to Prague, Vienna, and Upper Austria with a group of seven other business students, Proffessor Stoller, and Eileen Rucki, director of international education. While abroad for 11 days, they spent most of their time in Upper Austria at the Cross-Cultural Business Conference, where professors and students from around the world shared their business experiences.
In June, she will start an auditing and assurance internship with Deloitte in downtown Cleveland.
Fall 2018
Natalie spent her summer interning at Rowmark in Findlay and said she enjoyed seeing how a larger company operates.
“It is an international company, so their day-to-day operations are on a much bigger level than City Apparel. They have more clients, more vendors, different rates and different acquisitions part of the company from around the world."
Currently, she works part-time at City Apparel from home. Three days a week, Natalie picks up paperwork and enters it into their accounting system.
She said the combination of working with City Apparel and interning at a big company like Rowmark has shown her that she would like to work for a smaller company when she graduates.
Natalie is still a member of the volleyball team, and also looks forward to playing spring volleyball. She also still works in The Oiler 10, and has been helping with marketing for The UpField Group.
Her goal for next semester is to find an internship for summer at one of the big four accounting firms.

Spring 2018
Outside of the classroom, you'll see Natalie involved in a variety of things including playing volleyball for the University of Findlay or working hard in the University's student-run marketing agency called The Oiler 10. Natalie was also inducted into the University's IMA Accounting National Honor Society!
Natalie recently served as an accounting intern at City Apparel and says:
"City Apparel has been the most beneficial opportunity for me in the accounting field and in real life scenarios so far. The people that work there and the environment they have created is the most ideal place to work."
Over the summer, she looks forward to interning with the accounting team at Rowmark in Findlay!
