Dean's Welcome


With a specific focus on health-related fields of study, the COHP endeavors to provide high-quality and innovative academic programs that prepare students for meaningful lives and productive careers in the health profession of their choice. Some of the unique features of the college are outlined below. I invite you to take a closer look!


The College of Health Professions (COHP) at the University of Findlay (UF) is comprised of seven departments (1. Anatomy, Neuroscience and Health Sciences, 2. Diagnostic Services, 3. Nursing, 4. Occupational Therapy, 5. Physical Therapy, 6. Physician Assistant, and 7. Social Work and Healthcare Services). The COHP capitalizes on the symbiotic relationships between the departments to develop advanced academic opportunities, enhance student mentoring, and conduct interprofessional education activities.

With a specific focus on health-related fields of study, COHP endeavors to provide high-quality and innovative academic programs that prepare students for meaningful lives and productive careers in the health profession of their choice. The number of health professions programs offered through the COHP is exceptional and provides opportunities for broad exploration and the ability to move between different majors.

The COHP is fortunate to be housed on the UF main campus, in the following ten buildings: 1. Anatomy, Neuroscience and Health Sciences Building (1330 North Main Street), 2. Edward and Joyce Brewer Center for Health Sciences (340 College Street), 3. Center for Health Professions in Partnership with Blanchard Valley Health System (415 College Street), 4. Diagnostic Services Building (401 Trenton Avenue), 5. The Haven (425 Frazer Street). 6. Occupational Therapy Adaptive Living House (405 College Street), 7. Physical Therapy Annex (349 Trenton Avenue), 8. Morey Hall (1129 N. Cory Street), 9. Physical Therapy Student Resource Building (401 College Street), and 10. The Village (424 Frazer Street). The COHP provides students with access to: a cadaver lab, classroom spaces, meeting spaces, laboratories, and research laboratories.

The COHP offers 13 undergraduate degree programs: Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Associate of Arts (AA) and Bachelor of Science (BS)), Echocardiography (AA and BS), Exercise Science for Health Professions (BS), Healthcare Management (BS), Medical Laboratory Science (BS), Nuclear Medicine Technology (AA and BS), Nursing (BSN), Social Work (BA), Strength and Conditioning (BS), and Wellness & Health Promotion (BS).

At the graduate level, the COHP offers seven graduate degrees: 1. Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD), 2. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) (Traditional), 3. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) (Weekend Physical Therapist Assistant to Doctor of Physical Therapy Bridge Program), 4. Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Healthcare Management concentration, 5. Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT), 6. Master of Physician Assistant (MPA), and 7. Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI).


COHP offers six certificates: 1. Diagnostic Medical Sonography, 2. Echocardiography, 3. Gerontology, 4. Health Informatics, 5. Nuclear Medicine Technology, and 6. Substance Use Disorder. COHP also offers five minors: 1. Coaching, 2. Gerontology, 3. Healthcare Management, 4. Strength and Conditioning, and 5. Substance Use Disorder.
