​Helpful Tips for College Success

  • Meet with Accommodation staff before classes start
  • Send in or bring any documentation of limitations or past services used.
  • Each semester, sign the semester contract so your letter of introduction is sent to your professors.
  • Ask about transition support (knowing difference between high school and college accommodations)
  • Know your disability or impairment needs and the impact it may have on your success
  • Introduce yourself to your professors and explain your accommodations
  • Access services often (the Director, tutors, graduate assistants are available to assist students)
  • Share any concerns that are impacting your success
  • Know all resources available to you on campus
  • Seek guidance then follow through with suggestions
