November 15 - November 19, 2021
International Education Week (IEW) is a national celebration of the benefits of international education and global exchange. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is an effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
Each year, the University of Findlay (UF) Office of International Education participates in this national celebration by planning a week full of programs and activities that highlight the mission to promote global engagement and the interaction of various cultures via student and faculty exchanges worldwide. Examples of some of these programs and events include our UF Study Abroad Program Information Fair, a week-long photo contest with entries from students who have participated in study abroad programs, international cooking demonstrations, international exploration programs in area schools, international coffee & tea with food pairings event, informative internationalization/cultural quiz contests, and Oilers Exploring Beyond the Arch reception at the home of the university president.
"International education is not just about physically crossing borders, but also about thinking globally in local situations.” - Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs
