(Located at 14700 US Route 68 Findlay, OH 45840)
University of Findlay's Pre-Veterinary Barn and the Dr. C. Richard Beckett Animal Science Building are located at the Western Farm, about seven miles south of Findlay on Ohio 68. The barns are an integral part of the Animal Science/Pre-veterinary Medicine Program's unique hands-on approach.
The Dr. C. Richard Beckett Animal Science Building was built in 2009 and added more needed space and additional facilities for the livestock programs. New breeding and research programs were made possible with the new labs and classrooms housed there.
You will spend much of your first two years of study in the facilities, learning practical animal handling such as animal husbandry, care, restraint, nutrition and animal behavior. At the barns and through your classes, you will establish a strong knowledge base in animal agriculture for your future career as a veterinarian.
