Hands-On Experience

Computer science students at the University of Findlay are in high demand, with strong internship and employment opportunities both on and off campus. These experiences provide real-world skills, income, and often a direct path to full-time employment after graduation. Local partners such as Marathon Petroleum, General Electric, and CentraComm regularly host our students, while on-campus roles through University ITS, the Makerspace, and the student-run 3C Computer Repairs offer additional hands-on experience close to home.

Clubs and Activities

There are many opportunities outside of the classroom to get involved, including:

The Oiler 10 student-run, faculty-mentored marketing and consulting agency, in which students gain authentic hands-on experience by providing support and solutions to real businesses and organizations. The group also has opportunities to travel and learn from agencies and businesses around the country.

The mission of Technology and Gaming Club at the University of Findlay is to foster interest in and to further knowledge in the areas of technology and gaming.

The club is sponsored by the University’s Mathematics program and provides opportunities for students to engage with mathematics outside the classroom.

Some things the Euler Math Club is known for include:

  • Connecting mathematics majors and minors with faculty and peers.
  • Participating in mathematical problem-solving activities and discussions.
  • Supporting academic and professional development in mathematics.
  • Providing opportunities for networking and community among students interested in math.
  • Participating in departmental events such as Math Day at Findlay, which brings professionals and speakers to campus to discuss innovations and careers in mathematics.
