Riding lessons at the UF Western Farm
The University of Findlay is offering riding lessons for riders 6 years of age or older and all skill levels this summer. The lessons are scheduled on an individual basis with a University student rider.
Lessons will need to be paid in advance. All students will use a university-owned horse and tack.
Lessons for students 6-12 years of age will be given on a lunge line at the instructor’s discretion. Children 18 and under MUST wear an ASTM/SEI certified helmet. Bicycle helmets are not acceptable. Persons over 18 years of age are encouraged to wear an ASTM/SEI certified helmet. Smooth-soled boots with a heel are required. No tennis shoes or shorts may be worn for lessons.
Lessons start in May and run through August at UF's Western Equestrian and Animal Science Complex at 14700 US 68, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
Cost:
$55 per hour for community members, $50 per hour for UF faculty and staff
