2019 IHSA Nationals
The Oiler's have won the 2019 National Championship! The University of Findlay successfully defended their 2018 title and took home the trophy for the second consecutive year with 49 points. University of Wisconsin-River Falls was named reserve champion with 41 points and Ohio State University was a close third with 39 points. Read the full story on the western team's success in

2019 IHSA Semifinals
The University of Findlay hosted and competed in Western IHSA Semifinals on March 12, 2019. After a very successful weekend, the University of Findlay Team finished first with 39 points and will be moved on to defend their title at the 2019 IHSA Western National Championships, held May 2 -5, 2019 in Syracuse, NY.
The team rider results are as followed:
Team Beginner Horsemanship: Morgan Eckstein 1st place
Team Intermediate Horsemanship: Miranda Klein-3rd place
Team Novice Horsemanship: Bryant Fox-1st place
Team Advanced Horsemanship: Charity Thacker-1st place
Team Open Horsemanship: Julia Roshelli-1st place
Team Open Reining: Morgan Knerr-1st place
Individual riders from the IHSA Western show team also competed in the event with five students placing in the top four, allowing them to move onto nationals.
2019 IHSA Regionals
The team finished the regular season as High Point Team and will be moving on to compete at Semi-Finals. Findlay rider Julia Roshelli finished the season as High Point Rider and will be moving on to compete at Nationals. The University of Findlay will be hosting the 2109 IHSA Semifinal at the
Western Farm on March 16-17.

2/23 Horse Show at Findlay Western Barn
University’s of Findlay Western IHSA Team hosted and showed in their last regular season show where the High Point Team of both the morning and afternoon shows! This marks an undefeated 2018-19 season. In the morning show, Morgan Knerr was the high point rider and James Novak was the reserved high point rider. In the afternoon show, James Novak was the high point rider and Julia Roshelli was the reserved high point rider.
2/2 Horse Show at Lake Erie College
Findlay was the high point team in both the morning and afternoon shows. In the morning show, Morgan Knerr was the high point rider and Anna Ritzi was the reserve high point rider. In the afternoon show, Julia Roshelli was the high point rider and Hailey Ostrowski was the reserve high point rider.

The reigning IHSA national champions opened their season with a horse show on home turf, the University of Findlay Western Farm. The Oilers were the high point team in both the morning and the afternoon show.
