Overview:
Don Beck has
served for many years as an instructor, assistant professor, and
academic advisor to international students from over 60 countries. He
has taught English as a second language courses in reading,
composition, grammar, listening, communication skills, business
communications, pronunciation, TOEFL preparation, and orientation to
American life. He and his wife Lori have been married for 28 years and
are raising 4 children.
Mr. Beck brings to the classroom a wealth of teaching and advising
experience. He assisted in the origination of the Conversation Partners
Program for international students at U-F. He received the Dedication
and Service Award at the 20th IELP anniversary and he
currently serves as the Advocacy Liaison to the board of the Ohio
Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (OTESOL).
