I came to the University of Findlay (UF) in 2004. I am the Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator for the Diagnostic Services Department, which includes the Nuclear Medicine Institute (NMI) and Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) programs. My responsibilities include teaching, advising, mentoring, coordinating clinical placements, and performing clinical site visits in nearly 100 affiliated clinical facilities located in 15 states. It is exciting to have the opportunity to educate the next generation, not only in the classroom at the University, but also in the clinical phase. Seeing a student take the information they’ve learned in the classroom and put it into “practice” in the clinical setting is very rewarding.

Being a UF and NMI graduate, I feel that I can relate more effectively to what the students are experiencing during their time here. Having been a student and now a faculty member offers a unique opportunity to relate to and assist students.

Prior to coming to the University of Findlay, I worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, OH and later at the Smith Clinic in Marion, OH. I worked as a staff technologist at both of these facilities. While working at the Smith Clinic in Marion, I helped train NMI students complete the clinical phase of their education. I also worked a brief per diem position at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA.

My passions are sports, particularly baseball and football. I am a big Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians fan. I also enjoy reading and doing a variety of outdoor activities such as softball, camping and landscaping. I am a member of the College First Church of God and am involved in a number of church-related activities. I serve on a variety of UF committees and am involved in a number of professional organizations, which I have listed below.

I am married and have four children - Wyatt and Scarlet; and Johnathon and Hilary.
