Teach Life Science to students in 7th grade, 8th grade and high school.
Work hands-on with cells, animals and people with your students when you gain a degree in AYA Life Science from the University of Findlay! Life sciences explore living things and their interactions with the world. Students who chose this education path can teach traditional courses such as biology or anatomy, or more unique courses such as animal sciences or environmental science.

University of Findlay's College of Education prepares student through a blend of classwork and fieldwork.
Classwork
Classwork is comprised of education core courses and science courses. The education core focuses on teaching methodologies and practices for teaching science. The science coursework includes classes in:
- Biology
- Anatomy
- Chemistry
- Geology
- Oceanus
Field Work
Findlay students benefit from field experiences outside campus beginning in their first year. Over four years of courses, students engage in over 1000 hours of fieldwork with exposure to a variety of districts and classrooms.

The College of Education is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). All programs are built to address the standards of their specialized professional associations (SPA) and the Life Science Program is aligned with the National Science Teachers Association. Programs are approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
