Keeping students healthy and safe
Health and Physical education is an important part of a balanced education program. Students who participate in physical activity in school have higher levels of coordination and flexibility which helps prevent injuries, tend to have fewer issues with anxiety and depression, develop leadership and socialization skills and are more likely to stay healthy as adults.* As a health and physical education teacher, you are helping students develop motor skills, knowledge and behaviors needed to create a future life of active living and emotional stability.
