Traditional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

The University of Findlay's Traditional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program is designed to allow qualified students to earn their doctorate degree in three years. The program incorporates 33 weeks of full-time clinical education that is dispersed throughout the curriculum.

Traditional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Curriculum Information

Designed to be completed in nine consecutive semesters with summer terms, the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is a 116.5-credit program including:
  • 100 academic course credits
  • 16.5 Clinical Education course credits (33 weeks)
    • Clinical affiliations are staggered throughout the academic portion of the curriculum to fully integrate what students have learned in the classroom. Clinical education courses are varied among all areas of clinical practice and offered through clinical sites across the United States.

Our traditional program offers:

  • Small cohort size of 36 students
  • Hands on experience through a variety of learning opportunities including
    • Orthopedic and Neurological pro bono clinics
    • Pediatric screenings
    • 33 weeks of clinical education
    • Servicing learning
