Delivery of Library Materials Out-of-State

​Shafer Library will mail library materials, free of charge, to students enrolled in online programs and who live OUTSIDE Ohio but within the United States.  Students must return the materials at their own expense back to Shafer Library via a traceable delivery system (such as USPS Priority Mail, UPS, or FedEx).  View the complete policy.

Policy Basics

  • ​Shafer Library will mail items you request through the UF Library Catalog, OhioLINK Library Catalog, and SearchOhio. Exceptions are items with loan periods less than 3 weeks (such as media).
  • When requesting items, your barcode is the 14-digit number on the front of your UF ID that begins with 40633. If you do not have a student ID, contact Pam Carles at [email protected]
  • When choosing your Pick Up location, be sure to select Findlay Online Program (611).  You will receive an email from Shafer Library confirming your delivery address.
  • Please allow 5-10 business days for delivery of materials.

Students Within Ohio
