The University of Findlay Eventing team members compete in United States Eventing Association (USEA) recognized shows in Area 3 and Area 8. Our students compete as an intercollegiate team and as individuals. Students may qualify to compete at National Championships, Intercollegiate Championships, and the American Eventing Championships.
Starting in 2014, the USEA approved the creation of intercollegiate teams. This program was created for collegiate eventers to participate in USEA events both as a university team and as individuals. The University of Findlay is one of the first schools to participate in this newly formed intercollegiate program.
It is not necessary to be an equestrian major to participate on the team. Many riders major in a variety of other degrees and compete on the team.

Tryout Information
Tryouts are held in the fall semester and membership is limited to the serious equestrian. You will need riding attire and an ASTM-approved helmet to try out. You can try out on your own horse or one of the university's school horses.
In order to compete, approved show clothes are required.
It is beneficial to bring your own tack. Students may use a tack locker (if available) a semester to store equipment.
Cost and Expenses
There are club dues and many fundraising events that help to support the team.
