The University of Findlay offers two, unique weekend programs for professionals interested in pursuing a doctor of physical therapy or a master of occupational therapy. Our weekend format allows adults with busy lives, jobs and families to pursue a graduate degree. Courses are scheduled on alternate weeks and run for six weekends, primarily fall through spring. Some courses have an online component requiring less time on campus. The unique structure of this program has made it possible for students from other states to commute and complete their degree.
Any
student who does not have a bachelor’s degree is encouraged to enroll
in the University of Findlay’s online degree completion program before
applying to the professional portion of a program.
The Weekend PTA to DPT Bridge Program
The weekend program is specifically designed for current Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) with a bachelor's degree to earn a doctorate of physical therapy (DPT) degree. Students attend our weekend college every other weekend for a period of three years to complete the program. A maximum of 36 students are admitted into a cohort to begin the program each January.
The Weekend Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Program
The weekend program is designed for the adult learner, preferably with health care experience, who wants to pursue a graduate degree in occupational therapy. Students attend our weekend college every other weekend for a period of three years to complete the program. A maximum of 30 students are admitted into a cohort to begin the program each summer. To apply, a student must complete all pre-professional requirements and already have a bachelor's degree.
